2019

December 30, 2019

So…this is my first blog post ever…and i decided to make it at the end of the year. Great decision, Charlie! I know, I know, but i figured if i didn’t do it now, i wouldn’t do it, so here it is!

I don’t know about y’all, but this year’s flown by for me! 2019 was the year I plotted the Our Holy Mother series and my novelette The Seat of Cath and written them both! I can’t believe I’ve written a fourth of the first book in my series, Evercrown, and finished — friggin finished — the first draft of my novelette! (Let’s be real, it’ll probably turn out to be a novel — I’ve got a bad case of what I call the “word flu”, which is just a nice way of saying I’m an over-writer.) I’ve gotten myself a fancy website — if you’re here then you already knew that. I’ve gotten my writerly socials in order, somewhat — click on ‘em at the bottom of the bar and check out what I’m talking about — (though the whole FaceBook thing is still kinda new to me, so bare with me as i figure that out haha * sweats nervously *.) And, on top of all that, I’m setting up a smashing YouTube channel so y’all can see my face and chat with me…or at me…or shout at me…whatever ya please!

None the less, 2020 is upon us and the threat of failing our New Year’s resolutions looms heavily over our shoulders…I like to punch mine in the face —it really helps! So, since i told y’all what I did in 2019, let’s get my plans out for 2020!

  1. I’m launching my first YouTube video sometime in January (don’t judge me, I’ve never edited anything before in my life haha).

  2. I’m going to finish editing The Seat of Cath to it’s second draft in the beginning of the year so it’ll be ready for beta-readers (check out the synopsis and enlist for it if you like what you read!)

  3. I’ll finish editing the manuscript of Evercrown (again, check out the synopsis and enlist as a beta is you like what you read!)

  4. I’m going to take better care of my health. I know this one’s cliche, but I really to start the habit of being active and healthy if my career’s going to involve sitting for most of the day and staring at a screen with make-believe people. I mean, health is important anyway, but in a writer’s case especially.

Alright y’all, that’ll be it for this post! Keep a look out for more updates and join me on my writing journey! Have a happy new year! And, most importantly of all, to the writers out there reading this — write the words and make all the things!
