In the aftermath of Eshyuc, our six protagonists are separated and desperately trying to find where they fit in a society they don’t understand. Some want to leave, some want to stay and fit in, and some want to mend their society. Should they go? Should they stay? Or will their six paths ultimately lead them to the same fate?
Will Eloea be able to meet the requirements of her knew position in the priesthood? Will Laera be able to convince Art to do something that might grant him freedom, even though he swore he would never do it again? Will Art be able to conquer the growing threat of something buried long ago trying to break free? Will Charlotte overcome her guilt? How will Antoine overcome his frustration? Where will Narjuc’s path take him - rebellion and the destruction of all he loves and holds dear, or obedience and possibly no better?
